Dog kisses

P thought I needed to wake up. Either that or he was tired of my snoring.

I tried to directly email this Google voice memo. Fail.

Three Day Weekend Consumed by Google Buzz

OK. I admit it. I love trying out new social networking sites. In the early 90s, I was a Prodigy chat addict. I kept numerous conversations going at once. It kept my mind occupied. For over a year, FriendFeed was a nice place to hangout. However, once the service sold then my interest waned.

Google buzz, though, has my mind on supercharge. I'm excited to be able to integrate short thoughts with longer and more complete ideas. It is also exciting that Google buzz was able to provide more engagement from other people quickly.

vBulletin CMS Errors

The last two nights have been an adventure in patience. vBulletin 4.0.1 was installed on a server and was almost working. The CMS stories were not showing and so I decided to remove the CMS tables from the database and import in tables from a working CMS.

Unfortunately, the following error is shown in a browser.

Database error in vBulletin 4.0.1:

Invalid SQL:
SELECT node.nodeid , (node.nodeleft = 1) AS isroot, node.contenttypeid, node.contentid, node.url, node.parentnode,

Pligg: A CMS Worthy of Consideration

Pligg is finally a mature product and worthy of CMS consideration. My opinion was different several years ago. In fact, Pligg seemed slow and bothersome. Today, Pligg is perky, easy to install, easy to modify templates, and functions well enough to deserve greater attention.

The other day Pligg was installed on a new domain for Tux Reports; EnRumors is focused on only rumors rather than news. The site has acted as a means for me to try different features of Pligg and to test some of the modules.
